A delegation from Cweda Equity Fund Limited (CEFL) visited Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from May 17 to May 23, 2025, to explore potential cross-border investment opportunities and technical collaborations.

Director Mr. Dipak Raj Pandey , met with Managing Director Mr. Gaurang Desai and his team at Equiti Group to present Nepal-focused investment opportunities managed by Cweda Equity Fund Limited, and both parties agreed to initiate regulatory and compliance reviews before scheduling follow-up discussions. Mr. Pandey also held preliminary talks with Chairman and CFO of Century Financials, where both sides agreed to assess regulatory approvals and mutual compliance requirements for future collaboration.

Additionally, Mr. Pandey discussed framework options with Dr. Basab Banerjee for cross-border resource allocation and potential joint setups with specialized objectives across Nepal and the UAE, the delegation team also had the oppurtunity to have a discussion with Business Executive Ms. Noemi Ferravidli at the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) to discuss trade and market connections.

Cweda Equity Fund is reviewing the necessary regulatory and compliance pathways required to advance these initial discussions into formal agreements and seeks to raise funds through FDI in Nepal.
